Got to Otterspool Way where Johnny, Ian, Gordon, Phil and Sam were already waiting. Shortly after Pat & Brian arrived. I asked Gordon to take the lead as he had the SatNav and I was to stay at the rear in case we got separated. The route that Brian prefers to take is not quite strait forwardand besides We also make a stop at Rosie’s Café for breakfast.
After waiting a little while it was clear no one else would be turning up so off we went. Brian led us onto A414 as far as he could remember before Gordon took the lead. Everything was going so well until we got to the roundabout just before M25 and then we got split up in two groups. Gordon, Brian & Pat were nowhere to be seen. So I took the lead with Sam, Johnny, Phil and Ian following me.
It was great to have the SatNat with us as we would have not found Rosie’s Café. As it happened we arrived literally few moments after Gordon, Pat & Brian. After a little discussion on how we managed to get lost on our way here it was time for breakfast. The sun was shining and our stomachs were full therefore we continued the short journey to the Museum of Power without any more incidents.
We rode straight into main grounds and parked up with the rest of the bikes on display. The ground was full with all kinds of vintage bikes together with owner’s club stands. After looking around the bikes it was time for hot drinks and nibbles. Whilst making our way there we came across Burlesque dancers and so Sam had to have photo taken with them.
After our tea we headed back to our bikes when Johnny’s bike had won ‘Best American in the Show’ award. So naturally we had to stay behind for the awards ceremony. I had come across this ‘Bungalow Diner’ on the face book and it was not too far from where we were. So I suggested that we should pop-in and check it out. We had some American style fast food such as milkshakes, fries, and burgers.
Well it was time to head home with such a fantastic day with glorious sun shining on us.
