Brackley Festival of Motorcycling 13-08-2017

Pat and l met up with Vinnie, Christian and Chris at Otterspool way.
Vinnie took the lead by taking M1, A5 then A422 and arrived about 10:15 with no one getting lost for a change and a very pleasant ride.

This was the festival’s 9th year and it was packed with amazing bikes and favourite attractions.
One of the highlights was in the town centre where the classic ltalian Grand Prix bikes were racing.
The festival’s heritage was the focus of it’s main features which is fundraising for Air Ambulance and the Blood Bikers.
Every year has seen the event grow in size and status. This event was unique with a chance to see a mix of machines from vintage racers to MOTO GP monsters close up as they roar around the town.
There were plenty of stalls to look at while looking around we bumped into Phil and Maggie and also Steve and his friends who had lots to chat about.
The highlight of my day was watching 350 M.V. Augusta and Benelli as they were trying really hard to beat each other.
Pat brought a picnic lunch consisting of sandwiches and chocolates which we all enjoyed with our drinks which we acquired from a charity stall who only asked for donation to be placed in their donation box to raise funds for their charity.
This was a very well organised event with fantastic weather. All in all a great day out with a pleasant ride home in the afternoon sunshine.

Langleybury Classic Car and Bike Show 13-08-2017

A nice sunny start to the day so I made my way to Watford to pick up Keith in my sidecar. On arrival we were met by Frank, Steve and Karen who had travelled by car.

Followed by Bob Norman who arrived on his B.S.A. combo.
Mick on his Royal Enfield GT.
Steve on his B.S.A. Super Rocket.
Ray on his Triton.
Bill on his Rocket Goldie.
And finally Bob Brooks on his Honda.

Everybody roamed around looking at all the classic cars and Bill won a trophy for best bike.
