Triton & Café Racer Day at the Ace Café 25/06/2017

Brian and l were on our own today as Stevens mum had just passed away this week. Our thoughts and condolences go out to him and his family.
When we arrived at the Ace just before 9 am the 59 Club had already put up their gazebo and were busy arranging their merchandise on the table. Lucky for us as Gary and few others from the 59 Club helped us to put up our gazebo. Many thanks you guys!  It did not take us long to set up our table and chairs then it was straight in for a quick cuppa before the members started to arrive.

This year Ace Café were very generous with the drinks vouchers and as most members had managed to get a complementary drink on arrival. Ray and Bill were one of the first to arrive followed by Dave, Ian, Laurie, Sam, Bob, Roger, Dee, Danny, and Emil.
Vinnie and Jonnie came a little later in the day, apologies if l missed a few of you out but thank you all for coming along. We had some brilliant bikes on our stand but the 59 Club always have their regular show bike on display.
Rays family and grandchildren were also present and the children enjoyed the day as we took photos of them whilst sitting on Rays Bike. Bikers are getting younger and younger every day. Almost forgot to mention Gordon one of our vintage riders also turned up to support the Busy Bee Club.

The weather was good for us this year compared to last year when we had a sudden downpour and everybody tried to take cover under the gazebo. It had been raining most of the week but managed to stay dry for Sunday. This year the ton-up day was very well attended with so many fantastic bikes old and new in the car park. Everyone had a great time admiring the bikes throughout the day and finished off with a good meal at the Ace.

We would like to thank Ace Café for their hospitality and also to all the Busy Bee gang for making it a very enjoyable day.

Pat .
